Abstract
SUMMARY This article provides an annotated overview of recently published works related to the topic of endangered species. Books about specific species; particular regions of the world; the economic, political and social complexities of protection efforts; legal aspects of protection and conservation; and the cultural and societal impacts of endangerment, conservation and extinction are included. Recommendations are made regarding suitability for various types of libraries.
