Abstract
In conclusion, we present a brief case study on one of the most advanced examples of a programme to maximise happiness, in the sense of active committed enthusiasm, in the world today. The ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has stated that he intends Dubai to be the happiest city on earth. This effort is spearheaded by Smart Dubai Office, with H.E. Dr. Aisha bin Bishr as its Director General. Also, the United Arab Emirates, of which Dubai is an Emirate, has appointed one of the first Ministers of Happiness in the world, where H.E. Ohood Al Roumi has the task of maximising happiness and positivity across the UAE. This case study shows what can be done, even at a country level, to transform the engagement, happiness and well-being of a whole population.
