Abstract

Summary After Lithuanian Independence Declaration land cadastre formation has acquired new aspects. Private economy stimulated to take over some functions of cadastre formation from state prerogative: evaluation of land quality properties, measurement of exact land plot borders etc. There appeared some specific problems related to formation of state land cadastre: coordinating state and private interests, performing land reform and cadastre land registration. Land cadastre formation problems are analysed and probable solutions are presented according to land cadastre formation sequence: evaluation of land quality, land area and land borders, land user confirmation. Correct and exact formation of land cadastre present opportunities to include land plots into the state land cadastre. The analysis accent is the successful performance of land reform.
