Abstract

BAZNAS Sukabumi Regency has a particular program in Micro Enterprise (BUMI) based on the Village of Zakat Civilization mosque (DPZ). It is carried out following the local community's socio-cultural factors by empowering spiritually and materially at the same time according to its motto of the Koran (spiritual) or spiritual empowerment and ngejo (rupiah) or material empowerment. This study aims to determine the level of success of the mustahiq empowerment program through the BUMI DPZ program in BAZNAS, Sukabumi Regency. The research is survey research by conducting interviews and using a questionnaire, with descriptive analysis methods and qualitative approaches, to collect facts in the field from interviews in the form of questionnaires to respondents. The results show that the BUMI DPZ BAZNAS program's success rate in Sukabumi Regency is still low due to various obstacles, including the assisted residents' mentality (mustahiq) still consumptive in orientation. The limited number of assistants need to deal with other institutions at the same team that offers assistance programs in interest-bearing loans. Even though assistants play a significant role in changing the mindset of society as well as agents of change to create empowered community conditions, whereas, in terms of community development, it can be said to be successful with community activeness, the assistants follow routine recitation held by a companion and have routinely issued alms. Some have even become guardians for orphans in their environment.
