Abstract

Women faculty are in the minority at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo and they are scattered among numerous departments. They have struggled to overcome their feelings of isolation by teaching courses in the Women's Studies Minor, gathering at informal brown bag lunches for discussion, and by organizing yearly women's faculty get-togethers. Recently the Women's Steering Committee created a year long program of events that focused on women's issues. Their resolve to remain united sent them to technology and to the development of a World Wide Web (WWW) hypertext site. This WWW page allows the linking of text, images, and sounds related to women's issues. It also provides convenient access to information worldwide as well as local. Above all, it serves as a communication link uniting its users as scholars and as women.
