Abstract

Women are important for our society, without an active participation of women a society cannot move towards development. Woman empowerment is too essential for the development of the country and especially in developing countries like Pakistan. Empowerment means giving the power or authority to someone to do something of their choice so empowering women means giving them the power to live their life according to their wishes. Nowadays, Pakistan’s Women face a lot of problems especially harassment and gender inequality, etc. Our society is male-controlled in nature, and it cannot give power to women. This study is qualitative in nature and analyzes the past literature about woman empowerment. The findings of the study suggest that women's empowerment is too important and can’t be ignored. The government had to play an important to empower women to make effective policies for women empowerment and make them play an active role in society and in building the nation.
