Abstract

IT industry is one of the major industries for country's economic development. The main objective of this study is to assess, which are the factors responsible for influencing employee's job satisfaction and attitude. This research aims to study relationships in between experience, fair compensation, attitude and promotion, job satisfaction, working environment and job satisfaction and job Security. The result exposed that salary and incentives are the most important factors for influencing job satisfaction of employees. Apart from salary, it has been found that the influence of team support, healthy working environment, high job security level, proper work-life balance, career opportunities and promotion, proper training and development opportunities are also very important factors for determining employee's job satisfaction. Data have been collected from 134 respondents by visiting the authorized IT sectors of different firms. The result of this study shows that the job satisfaction level of employees is average and it calls for management attention towards enhancing the employee job satisfaction level. This paper shows relationship between various factors and puts forth suggestions for improving employee's job satisfaction level in the IT sector.
