Abstract EMPIRE CF-3M is a superior stainless steel casting alloy recommended for welded fabrications because of freedom from carbide precipitation. It is equivalent to A. C. I. CF-4M (American Casting Institute designation). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-61. Producer or source: Stainless steel foundries.
