Abstract

In this issue of the EMC Magazine, this column reviews what is involved in EMC Society standardization including examples of the EMC Society Standards Committee scopes and activity as seen by the leadership of the activity. Part of their contribution is to ask for assistance in technical work and part is seeking out more involvement with other standards developers that generate EMC standards outside of the IEEE. So you are encouraged to read the complete articles herein to see where an activity lies that you can contribute to or at least follow. We also provide an example of the work on a particular standard and describe the technical needs. For that, scroll down to the description of the work on P370, which is entitled: IEEE draft electrical characterization of printed circuit board and related interconnects at frequencies up to 50 GHz.
