Abstract

Hyaluronan is a major glycosaminoglycan in uterine fluid that has been shown to increase cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion, and may therefore improve embryo apposition and attachment. Previous studies in mice and humans have revealed that high hyaluronan concentration in embryo transfer medium increases implantation and pregnancy rates. Our study is aimed to evaluate whether the use of embryo transfer medium enriched with hyaluronan (EmbryoGlue - Vitrolife, Gothenburg, Sweden) improves implantation and pregnancy rate in fresh embryo transfers.
