Abstract
Acute scrotal or testicular pain is a common urological problem that usually requires immediate or emergency evaluation by a urologist. In adults the most common differential diagnoses are acute epididymo-orchitis, testicular torsion and trauma. Less commonly testis tumors may cause acute pain, especially when there is hemorrhage after traumatic insult. We report on a patient with recently diagnosed Wegener's granulomatosis and nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis who presented with acute testicular pain mimicking testicular torsion or a testis tumor.
