Abstract
Despite the increasing importance and recognition of equity, diversity, and inclusivity (EDI) within the academic and chemical industries, EDI is rarely implemented while designing some courses, especially during chemistry practical. Based on the instructor’s reflections and experiences, steps taken to include EDI as part of the organic chemistry laboratory course are discussed. Finally, suggestions for increasing equity and access to course materials while teaching remotely are presented.
