Abstract

Several important aids in the construction of successful complete dentures have been discussed. These aids include a thorough examination, accurate impressions, a tissue recovery period, accurately adapted trial bases, a physiologic vertical dimension of occlusion, the needle point tracing, esthetic appearance, a free and cuspless occlusion, correction of the occlusion, proper postinsertion care of the patient, and patient education. If such aids are faithfully employed, a technique that favors simplicity over complexity 12 will produce superior results.
