Abstract
Panel reactive antibodies (PRA) are an important measure of sensitization against antigens present on donor organs. However, the immunologic response to ventricular assist devices (VAD) may lead to difficulty in interpreting PRA levels. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of elevated PRA in traditional and VAD bridge to transplant (BTT) patients.
