Abstract
Fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF23) plays a crucial role in phosphate metabolism via suppressing renal tubular phosphate re-absorption. Recent studies showed that patients with higher serum FGF23 more likely to have cardiac hypertrophy, which is independent of renal function, and blood pressure.
