Abstract
In this paper we present a special problem, named as prefix sum, and its variations. We analyse the base problem more detailed and compare the possible solutions. Our students solved simi-lar problems in competitions, so we have statistics about their solutions. We offer this article for those readers who are interested in programming methodology, or who are teachers, and their students will be participated in competitions.
