Abstract
The zeta potential of particles of a graphical sample of carbon black dispersed in a p-xylene/10% (v/v) ethanol mixture, containing calcium bis(alkyl)sulfosuccinotes, was found to be positive and appeared to decrease with the increasing chain length of the adsorbate. The surface charge was ascribed to the preferential adsorption of ions by an ion-induced-dipole interaction.
