Abstract

Projection can be seen as a unifying concept that may join both the quantum mechanics and electronic system. In constraint programming, viewing consistency maintenance as projection, it suggests that a new consistency maintenance is both an inference problem and a projection problem. It is an inference problem because it deduces constraints that variable assignments must satisfy. And it is a projection problem because of excluding infeasible assignments to a subset of variables is equivalent to computing the projection of the feasible set onto those variables. Conclusion, quantum mechanics, and electronic systems, though different from each other, we can use the same theory based on the projection operator to show the analogies that exist between them as important two fields of research. Indeed currents or voltages can be compared with quantum starts and the electrical power can be compared with quantum probability
