Abstract
This article provides an overview of Electronic Data Interchange as it applies to serials acquisitions. and examines the steps followed in planning to link two systems, Bibliotech, an inlegated library system, and EBSCONET. the Ebsco Subscription Service on-line service, at Raweon's Equipment Division Technical Information Center. Benefits of electronic data interchange are discussed and the role of the serials librarian as a manager of computer to computer data transmission is addressed.
