Abstract

To address the evolving needs of community engagement in higher education, this research paper presents Konek, a web-based and mobile application designed to enhance community engagement for STI West Negros University's partner communities outside of Bacolod City. Konek addresses the challenges faced by the university's community extension office by providing a secure and centralized platform for partner community posts, events, and product dissemination. The system's features are carefully tailored to empower registered partner community and school department administrators while allowing users to interact with the content. The methodology for developing Konek involved utilizing a Development Research design to understand and address the university's community extension issues. The agile development methodology was employed throughout the project's lifecycle, ensuring flexibility and adaptability. Extensive evaluations were conducted to assess the system's reliability, efficiency, and user-friendliness. This innovative platform signifies a transformative solution for community engagement, laying the foundation for future enhancements.
