Abstract
An electron microscope study was made of a granulosis virus causing epizootics in three consecutive generations of the fruit free leaf roller, Archips argyrospila. Replication of the virus in midgut epithelial cells was observed in only one insect, and the cytopathology indicated that viral replication at this site was partially blocked or inhibited.
