Abstract

AbstractEarlier measurements have been extended to a larger number of samples of high crystalline perfection, high purity, and well‐defined homogeneous doping. Furtheron the measuring equipment has been improved. The before made statement could be confirmed, that the transverse electron mass as derived from the magnetic susceptibility in silicon–germanium alloys with a silicon content between 65 and 100 at% Si is constant with a value m⟂ = 0.27 m (m free electron mass).
