Abstract
The mass spectra of a number of aromatic azoethers have been recorded, and the most intense peaks have been used to characterise these spectra. In all cases the formation of aryldiazonium cations and of aryl cations are the dominating reactions. The above findings may be applicable to the identification of azo colouring materials.
