Abstract
Abstract : Relative and absolute electron impact ionization cross sections were measured for species of three elements. The data include results on Au(+), Au(2+), Au(3+); Cr(+), Cr(2+); Fe(+), Fe(2+), Fe(3+). Total cross section results on the elements are also reported. A description of the procedure and equipment as well as some of the difficulties in the experiment are presented. Related information from the literature, both experimental and theoretical, are discussed in a comparative context.
