Abstract

Computer processing of electron microscope images has attracted considerable attention during the past few years. The field is still small enough for a bibliography, regularly updated, to be a useful tool. The present bibliography contains a considerable amount of background material as well as papers specifically devoted to computer processing. The references are classified according to subject into the following categories: transfer function theory; linear filters; some optical analog techniques and related computer procedures; nonlinear methods for extracting phase and amplitude informatlon; three-dimensional reconstruction from projections; processing languages and associated techniques.
