Abstract
Tunable terahertz (THz) metasurface can be widely used in communication, sensing, and other fields. The stable tunability of the KTaO3(KTO) layer has attracted the attention of many researchers. In this paper, a THz tunable metaurface based on the KTO layer achieves a transmission band at 13.04 THz (97.7% amplitude, 5.46 THz full width at half maximum (FWHM)). In experiments, FWHM reduces from 5.46 THz to 2.71 THz (by reducing structural parameter W), or from 5.46 THz to 5.18 THz (through increasing structural parameter P). In further experiments, the transmissive properties of the metasurface are enhanced by the electric field, and the FWHM is increased from 5.46 THz to 8.18 THz (by increasing voltage V). The transmission properties of the proposed metasurface is enhanced by using an external magnetic field (parallel magnetic field or vertical magnetic field). The metasurface exhibits stable tunability in the terahertz band.
