Abstract

The electromagnetic scattering from an imperfectly conducting cylinder embedded in a nonconcentric chiroplasma cylinder is derived rigorously by using the classic separation of variables technique and the addition theorem for cylindrical functions. The two cylinders are assumed to be infinite in length and of circular cross-section. Both TE and TM polarisations are considered for normal incidence. Numerical results for various values of the parameters are presented and discussed.
