Abstract

This paper presents theoretical findings of new electromagnetic plasma waves in nonextensive and Maxwellian plasma below and above plasma frequency. The new waves are observed among the solutions of general and exact nonextensive dispersion relations for electromagnetic waves in unmagnetized collisionless plasma. The solutions for all values of nonextensive q parameter are also containing a light mode. The exact dispersion relations are obtained via calculation of kinetic dispersion integral using nonextensive distributions and hypergeometric function properties. Finally the effects of q parameter on the oscillation modes and damps are discussed.
