Abstract
Assuming the double exponential nature of the: current in the multiple return strokes of a lightning discharge the radiated electric and magnetic field profiles have been computed with a new approach, at different time intervals. It is found that our calculated values of electric and magnetic field of the primary and the subsequent strokes are in close agreement with the experimental records and theoretical results due to others.
