Abstract

In order to discover ways of improving the insulating properties of dielectrics and new methods of solving geochronological problems, the electrical and electromagnetic phenomena arising in muscovite samples as a result of the separation of chemically combined water are analyzed. Anomalous changes in electrical conductivity and the intensity of electromagnetic pulses in the radiofrequency range suggest the separation of a quartz phase in muscovite subjected to the action of thermal and electric fields.
