Abstract

Electromagnetic corrections to the coherent KL-KS regeneration amplitude from protons. ƒ21 = ƒ(0)−ƒ(0) are estimated in a model on elastic unitarity and Regge behaviour. The correction to Im ƒ21/k is found to vanish asymptotically as (ln s)−2. The correction to Re ƒ21/k, assuming additivity of the Coulomb- and strong-phase shifts, is also finite. Numerical values are given at a typical energy.
