Abstract

Vertical Synaptic Devices In article number 2103808, Jin-Hong Park and co-workers develop a vertical synaptic device featuring remote weight control via e-field-dependent movement of mobile ions in ion-gel layer. This synaptic device successfully demonstrates all essential synaptic characteristics, such as excitatory/inhibitory postsynaptic current, paired-pulse facilitation, and long-term potentiation/depression. Such excellent synaptic properties enable a recognition rate of ≈99% in the training and inference tasks for acoustic and emotional information patterns.
