Abstract

Resistance monitoring is described as a new technique for analyzing electrochemical phenomena on metal film electrodes. We discuss its application to the study of underpotential deposition, halide adsorption and the important problem of emersed electrodes. In the latter system we show that the double layer is removed intact as the metal electrode is withdrawn from the solution.
