Abstract
RO processes have more promising future perspectives. Nevertheless, there are some constraints that require certain efforts to be spent on research and development. First of all, pretreatment step must be optimized for minimum environmental impact by eliminating chemicals additives as can as possible. This review study focuses on RO technology and introduces electrocoagulation as a suggested alternative which can play an important role for many tasks in a manner more compatible with environmental and sustainable development, depending on clean and economic energy.
