Abstract

Poly(ethylene oxide)/(KClO3 + NaNO3) composites have been prepared by slurry method using acetonitrile as a solvent with different weight percentages of (KClO3 + NaNO3) in polyethylene oxide (PEO) matrix. The prepared composites were characterized by Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Dielectric properties were studied by making pellets, and it is observed that the permittivity and dielectric loss value decreases with increasing in frequency. Electrochemical cell was fabricated, and various parameters were revealed. It is found that 15 wt% of poly(ethylene oxide)/(KClO3 + NaNO3) composite shows high charge density, open-circuit voltage, and polarization current with respect to charging time.
