Abstract

The dielectric properties of two new vacuum-deposited oligophenylenes, para-sexiphenylene (PSP) and para-octiphenylene (POP), have been investigated in the frequency range form 10 kHz to 1 MHz. Experimental data, connected with their good thermal stability and their hydrophobic nature, make them good candidates for dielectric interlayers or material for encapsulation in microelectronics technology.
