Abstract
The static pyroelectric coefficient of PZT-5H thin slice was measured. The effects of temperatures, temperature change rates and pulse stress on the discharge characteristics of PZT under different electrical boundary conditions (open circuit and short circuit) were investigated by an improved split Hopkinson pressure bar system; The effects of temperature change rate and the pulse stress on dynamic piezoelectric coefficient and discharge characteristics of PZT were analyzed. The results show that the static pyroelectric coefficient of the piezoelectric ceramics is 4.16 × 10−8 C/cm2·°C. The piezoelectric voltage constant g33(σ, ∂ΔT), piezoelectric strain constant d33(σ, ∂ΔT), elastic compliance coefficient S and electromechanical coupling coefficient k were obtained by experiments at the given temperature and different temperature change rates.
