Abstract

The author solves the problem of distribution of the electric potential on a complicated surface consisting of a round cylinder and a round flange connected with the cylinder, from a point current source positioned at the edge of the ring. It is shown that when the difference between the surface resistances of the cylinder and the ring is small, the problem can be reduced to the system of point current sources on an infinite homogeneous plane.
