Abstract

The optical and electrical properties of CuInSe2 single crystals were measured for various deviations from stoichiometry. The absorption curve was found to shift toward the lower energy region with an increase in deviation from stoichiometry. It can be interpreted in terms of Urback rule in connection with the compositional disordering. We have determined the energy levels for the defects in CuInSe2 from the temperature dependence of the carrier concentration and the photoluminescence spectra.
