Abstract

We investigated the cation transport through a physically made junction between Prussian blue analogs, Na0.72−δNi[Fe(CN)6]0.685.1H2O and Na1.60−δCo[Fe(CN)6]0.902.9H2O. Difference between the cation affinities of the respective compounds causes an electromobile force in the open state and induces spontaneous cation transfer through the junction in the short state. In addition, the doping levels (δ) of the respective compounds are reversibly controlled by an external electric pressure V (=0.6 V). We demonstrated that the Prussian blue junction realizes an electric pressure-induced ferromagnetism.
