Abstract
A curved surface is used as ground electrode for an electrospray system. An experimental study of ethanol electrospray is conducted to obtain the droplet size and velocity distribution, and the dispersity of droplet size distribution is calculated. The spatial electric field distribution of the ground electrode structures with different radii of curvature is obtained numerically. The results show that when the radius of curvature of the ground electrode is 50 mm, the mono-dispersity of the droplet size is the best, and the droplet size and velocity are small, also the distribution is uniform, and the spray atomization characteristics are superior.
