Abstract
Mg0.5- x Cu x Zn0.5Fe2O4 (where x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3) ferrites were synthesized by conventional solid state reaction route and were sintered at 1200 °C using a programmable furnace. These sintered MgCuZn ferrites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The single phase of the ferrites was confirmed from the X-ray diffraction studies. The dielectric studies, ac, dc electrical conductivity studies were performed with the variation of Cu content, and temperature. The results are discussed in the light of Koops theory and polaron hopping.
