Abstract
Mid-dermal elastolysis is a rare elastic tissue disorder characterized by localized patches of finely wrinkled skin and a “band-like” loss of elastic tissue in the mid dermis. We report the case of a 38-year-old woman with erythema and wrinkling that met the clinical and histological criteria for mid-dermal elastolysis. The only antecedent of interest was a personal history of oral contraception use 3 months before the lesions appeared, and two deliveries without complications.
