Abstract

Dynamic elastic reactions have been compared for the internal explosion of line charges in one-layer and three-layer cylindrical shells, the latter metal-liquid-metal. The annular deformation amplitudes are similar in value, but the maximal strains occurring during the free oscillation are smaller in the three-layer shell. It is considered that containment systems should employ multilayer shells containing liquid layers.
