Abstract
Results of studies of elastic properties of relaxor ferroelectric lead scandotantalate crystal in the vicinity of a diffuse phase transition are presented. Brillouin scatttering from longitudinal and transverse acoustic phonons was investigated. Analaysis of data yielded elastic C11, C12, and C44 moduli for the cubic phase of the crystal in a wide temperature range.
