Abstract

The paper describes a theoretical study and exploration of authors in the field of biomechanics. The lung parenchyma is focused, and its elastic behaviour under the physiological mechanical load, pressure change during breathing. Anatomical view to the human respiratory system generally is introduced first together with a more detailed description of the alveolus. Then the appropriate theory is elaborated, aimed on the mathematical model establishing, the finite element method is chosen as the resolving tool. The computational implementation is realized in multi physical software based on the finite element method.
