Abstract
Abstract Quasielastic and inelastic neutron measurements on CsCucl3 and RbCrCl3 are discussed. A refined theoretical model is presented, which describes the disordered phases in these compounds as a pseudospin-phonon coupled system taking 1-d precursor correlations into account.
