Abstract
El presente artículo plantea las ventajas del teatro, en su doble naturaleza textual y escénica, como herramienta para el aula de Lengua castellana y literatura en el nivel de secundaria. La propuesta, sustentada en una base teórica actualizada, aborda el tema bélico, considerado de importancia por la LOMCE, en el nivel de cuarto de ESO. En este sentido, el artículo pone de manifiesto los beneficios de este enfoque para abordar un tema de gran complejidad y para, a su vez, desarrollar valores cívicos y críticos transversales en el alumnado.
