Abstract
Balanced cantilever method has been use to erect the cable-stayed section of the “Constitución de 1812” bridge over Cadiz Bay. Standard segments are 20m long and 34m width and weigh 4.000kN.The construction sequence has been determined by the ultimate resistance of the tower that must resist the unbalanced bending moments at both sides of the tower.
