Abstract

Since Eugenio Asensio related the Coloquios by Baltasar de Collazos with the Lazarillo de Tormes, several scholars have been interested in the relationship between this text and picaresque literature. Ursula, who is the only female character in Collazos’ dialogues, could be considered from this perspective as a precedent of the 17th century picara. In this paper, I will focus on this character taking into account the role of women in this period, the feminine picaresque and the bonds with the celestinesque topic through Aretino’s version.
